The reunion committee has decided not to order t-shirts for the families. If individual tribes would like matching t-shirts it will be up to them to order them with any logo or color they desire. If you would like help with artwork or sources you can contact either Jim Crowley or Ginny.

We are planning a catered dinner at the BARN on the 5th. We will need to know how many of your tribe will be attending. Will let you know more as the plans are solidified.

We would like each "tribes" (original 9) be responsible for news of your family, in the form of a skit, newspaper, song, or any other way. Please limit it to 15 minutes or less. Maybe some of it could take place while we are eating.

We want to have lots of time to just visit, so plan on spending most of the day with us. When you decide on where you will be staying, let us know so it can be posted before everyone leaves home. That way we can get together at other times if wanted. Check the information below for lists of facilities near Island Park. We hope this will be a GREAT reunion.

Plans have been made to hold the reunion at EAGLE RIDGE RANCH near Island Park, Idaho on Saturday, July 5th, 2008. We have reserved "The Barn" for that day. It is for group gatherings up to 200 people, so we are sure to fit in. It has no sleeping facilities,only day time activities. Each family will be responsible for their own accommodations. We will provide web site info for several options.

Island Park is located in the northeast corner of Idaho, justshort of the Montana boarder. It is about 73 miles northeast of Rexburg on US highway 20, and only 20 miles to West Yellowstone. There are many scenic places to visit in the area. It seems like an ideal place for our individual families to have their own gatherings. Come early or stay late. Just be there on July 5th. We will have a catered dinner starting at noon or 1:00 followed by our usual "skit/talent show." We would like each family to present something. There is even a stage. There is fishing ponds, horses to ride and some ATV land. These things are included in the cabin rental, or a fee for others not renting. We think we can be at the Barn from daylight to dusk.

There are many accommodations in the area.

• Eagle Ridge Ranch has cabins from occupancy of 2 or 20. There is also some RV parking, without hook-ups. Check out their web site soon... www.eagleridgeadventures.com

Other nearby accommodations are:

• Harriman State Park. They have cabins, a barn dormitory that sleeps 40 people, and Yurts. Check with them by phone: 209-558-7368 or...e-mail:HAR@IDPR.STATE.ID.US. We couldn’t actually see the park, as it was covered with snow!
• Mack’s Inn Resort is another option. They advertise RV, Motel, Cabins. Their contact numbers are 1-888-558-7272 or... www.macksinn.com.
• Sawtelle Mountain Resort looks rather nice. They have individual rooms starting at $59.00 a night. They also have bunk houses for 20 or 30 people. They have RV parking and tenting. This place seems more modern. Phone: 208-558-9366 or www.sawtellemountainresort.com.
• There are also several campgrounds in the ASHTON/ISLAND PARK RANGER DISTRICT. Fees range from $10 to $12 per night with some Senior Pass discounts. Phone number to call for reservations is 1-877-444-6777 or www.recreation.gov. We have a list of these campgrounds. Please contact us if interested.

We don’t have lots of information to mail to you, as many of the places were not open when we were there. We have relied on information Lori had collected, but is three years old. The best we can advise is to look at the several accommodations on the web sites and make your plans soon. Some of them are already booked for 2008. Bob & Iola went on up to Island Park to check out some reunion locations. The elevation is about 6000 ft. and there are many activities available. West Yellowstone is nearby. They think there is something for everyone. They plan on just one full day of activities for the whole family and let each family have mini-reunions at their own speed and time. They don't have reservations but will soon. More to come later.
