Reid Stewart

SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ebbert Memorial United Methodist Church in Springfield for Reid Hugh Stewart of Springfield, who died March 2, 2009 of pancreatic cancer. He was 61. A reception at the church will follow the memorial.

He was born Nov. 22, 1947, in Coos Bay.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature at Brigham Young University. He served in the National Guard. Stewart worked in the commercial real estate and commercial lending business and was a judge for the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America Inc.

Survivors include his mother, Marjorie Forcucci, and a brother, Randy of Raleigh, N.C.
