Amelia Jill Crowley was born to Jim and Amy on 12 December 2006 at 7:34 pm. She weighed 6 lbs, 13 oz, the biggest baby girl in our family yet. She was born a week early, but according to Amy, it wasn't soon enough The pregnancy thing was getting really old there at the end.

Amelia, or Mia, or AJ, is doing great. She sleeps 3-4 hours at a time, wakes up enough to look around and make sure everyone is doing ok, has a little food, and then goes back to sleep. Oh, and her favorite hobby is making Rorschach images in her diaper. I swear one the other day looked like Mt. Rushmore.

Amy is also doing great, as always. It actually makes some of the women we know mad, because she is doing so well. They want her to take more time off, you know, play the sympathy card a little more. But it drives her crazy. She has to get out and be active. As they say "you can't stop her, you can only hope to contain her."

The rest of the kids, with maybe the exception of Chloe, are bubbling with enthusiasm over their new baby sister. It is great to have so many good helpers, although they seem to disappear when it is Rorschach time. Chloe is having a little difficulty sharing her mother's attention with this new kid on the block. Fortunately, Grandma Crowley is here to help.
